I own a Starmate 4. Though it is very similar to the one that came with the unit it is slightly different, though not enough to cause problems.
It holds the Starmate in place securely and allows you to easily remove your unit and take to another car without removing the entire harness, something you had to do with older units like my old Starmate Replay.
Overall though slightly different than the OEM, this will do just fine.

Exactly wat I ordered and works well with my Sporster 5 which I lost the original dock to.

Had I received the item, as pictured, there’d be no problem. Sadly, the Dock which I received is in no way compatible with my radio. The dock, in the picture, has a recessed area which would fit my sportster. The dock that I received has no recessed area, making it completely useless.

The product details say that this universal dock fits a Sportster 4, but the back of the dock and the 2 tabs attached to the back are too close to the connection points on the base. Even after removing the two tabs there wasn’t enough clearance for our Sportster 4 to squeeze onto the base.
